Hello @Filipe Martins, Can you confirm if the latest cpanel-letsencrypt RPM is installed on this system? You can check by attempting to update it with the command below: yum update cpanel-letsencrypt
    Thank you.

Thanks for responding. No, it wasn't updated. After that command it started working. Thanks.

Hi Michael, I have a similar error but do not have server access. And the hosting company says they cannot help me. PROBLEM: I set up a new ADDON domain, "example.com" - and get a "500 Internal Server Error" when I try to visit in a browser. I noticed that the new site did not have an htaccess.ea4bak file or a well-known folder. So, i copied these and a htaccess file from another of my sites (one that SSL is working on) and changed the domain name reference on both htaccess files - RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://example.com/$1 [R=301,L]
The cPanel SSL/TLS Status still shows the following error: HTTP DCV: The system queried for a temporary file at "http://example.com/.well-known/acme-challenge/VQ2EX9NO25D1O80MNDN_1VTHQJ3BLQGW", but the web server responded with the following error: 500 (Internal Server Error). A DNS (Domain Name System) or web server misconfiguration may exist.
I then ran "Auto SSL" from the panel and still get the error. Your advice would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you for your kind help - I hope you have a very lovely day.
