High memory usage concerns

Hi, Recently I setup a new VPS server Gen4 with GoDaddy, I was monitoring my resources usage. The average usage of Memory was 3 to 4 GB, after I upgraded cPanel to v78.0.13 the memory usage increased to 7GB out of 8GB. I checked the Daily Process Log: nobody 6.5 mysql 5.2 cpanelsolr 3.8 Some user 1.8 mailman 0.9 dovenull 0.5 nydus 0.5 etc... Those values are percentages, how can 6.5% equal 7GB ? What could be consuming the memory? I dont know if it is related to the upgrade, i'm just mentioning the timing. Thank you

  Ah excuse me, the memory usage 7G is indicated on Godaddy server dashboard, but in WHM -> Server Information -> Current Memory Usage the results are : [QUOTE] total used free shared buff/cache available Mem: 8008860 2083536 4272576 9544 1652748 5623668 Swap: 0 0 0 Total: 8008860 2083536 4272576
  I think I have 5.6 GB free, and something is wrong with GoDaddy server dashboard. Right ?

  Most likely. Or they are included cached memory usage in their calculations which is common.

  I'm wondering what will happen if I GoDaddy dashboard indicate higher than 8GB and WHM Server Information indicate lower then 8GB.

  I don't think what the GD dashboard reasds is all that important, what matters is how much ram your system is actually using. The command free -m Will show you your ram stats in MB.
