Some email missing after restoring from backup
Hi,
I accidentally deleted all the emails from an account. My host sent me a full backup that I extracted on my computer. I transferred by FTP the account folder which is under homedir/mail / domain.tld /
When I went to check in the webmail, I found the emails sent but none of the emails received.
Was the backup I received incomplete or i didn't rasturation properly?
Thank you

Hello @Med Gharib, Can you review the contents of the archive you extracted on your local workstation and verify if the emails exist there? You can reference the /home/user/mail section of the document linked below to determine if the emails exist: How to Manually Migrate Accounts to cPanel from Unsupported Control Panels - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation Let me know what you find. Thanks! 0 -

Hello @Med Gharib, It looks like the "cur" folder is missing, and that's where the delivered email is stored. I recommend asking your provider to verify if the backup archive was generated after the date/time you accidentally deleted the emails, and if so, to check if an older backup is available. Thank you.0
