Remote MySQL not saving changes after update to MySQL 5.7

Hi, I've recently updated on CLoudlinux MySQL from 5.5 to 5.7 using mysqlgovernor script. The update did not give any errors, but I noticed that after the update if I try to remove a host in "Manage Access Hosts" I get the success message (e.g. "Removed Host "x.x.x.x" from the access list." but the host is still there. Same thing happens when trying to add, I get the success message but the host is not added. I tried recompiling Apache, I modified /etc/my.cnf to have: sql_mode=ONLY_FULL_GROUP_BY,NO_ZERO_IN_DATE,NO_ZERO_DATE,ERROR_FOR_DIVISION_BY_ZERO,NO_AUTO_CREATE_USER,NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION
and restarted MySQL but the issue persists. Are there some logs I can check to find the issue?

  Issue was fixed after running as root mysql_upgrade

  Hello @Wiseon3 Glad to hear you were able to resolve the issue and thanks for letting us know how it was resolved. It sounds like the mysql error logs would have probably indicated that mysql_upgrade needed to be run, I wouldn't necessarily recommend everyone run this without further information/investigation.
