The 56 GB you're seeing in WHM is for your cPanel accounts only. It doesn't include the 41GB in the /backup directory, or other files in /home that are not part of a cPanel account. It might be you have cpmove (backups) files in your /home directory, for example. I suggest entering your /home directory, and running something like du -sch * to give you a breakdown of your usage.

Based on what you're using I wouldn't looks like based on cPanel + Sites + DB you're using almost double that.

What do you mean Lauren, 256GB is too small? Do you suggest 512GB? What is the minimum size for cpanel + centos ?

I'm saying based on what you show you're using 256GB would be too small. You show you're using 300GB in /home that alone exceeds the size of the disk you're suggesting and that has nothing to do with cPanel's minimum requirements. The minimum requirements for a cPanel/WHM server are listed here: Installation Guide - System Requirements - Version 76 Documentation - cPanel Documentation

Hello @thanasis Can you give me an example? Does list accounts show more? In most cases the reason list accounts would be more is the inclusion of files owned by that user in locations other than home such as MySQL databases.

Hello @thanasis Do you have quotas enabled on the server? You can ensure that they're enabled by running /scripts/initquotas
This won't report properly without quotas enabled and functioning.

At /home with this command du -sch * , i have 897G total; 789G is virtfs I read that virtfs files are from Jailed Shell. If i disable the Jailed Shell, shall this size of the /virtfs will be decreased ?

Hi @thanasis VirtFS doesn't actually use any disk space though I do understand why it would be confusing. At this point feel free to open a ticket using the link in my signature as it may be easier to explain the discrepancies you're seeing with access to the server. Once open please reply with the Ticket ID here so that we can update this thread with the resolution once the ticket is resolved. Thanks!

Hi @thanasis Thanks for updating the thread with the ticket ID it looks like the issue has been resolved, the analyst found that the space discrepancy was due to backups being stored in /home which will cause quotas to not report properly and there was a large amount of space dedicated to some older log files which explained some of the usage you were seeing. Thanks!
