Is Installing KVM/gparted possible?
Hello
I currently have centos7 installed with cloudlinux, cPanel/WHM
I would like to partition my server off into 2 separate OS systems 1 being what it is currently and the other would be Ubuntu and run both at the same time with websites.
My server can handle the load as it has plenty of spare disk space in the TB's and cores.
I know I can run KVM over centos without issues but not sure whether that includes having cloudlinux and cpanel installed.
Or my other option is to run gparted to create the partition and then run KVM in the new partition. Which would be better?
so my question here is will cloudlinux and cpanel handle the KVM/gparted install?
I want to keep running centos as is with it's current setup just reduce it's disk space a bit meaning it will still be a root system.
And then will/or can both run at the same time delivering websites on the internet?
Cheers

Yes you can run CL on a KVM server so my question here is will cloudlinux and cpanel handle the KVM/gparted install?
you will have to reinstall the server and install KVM & restore you sites from backup you cant slab KVM onto a partition0 -
Hello @OzyPhil I'd go with @dalem's suggestion here but also if you have any questions on how the process to do this I'd also suggest enlisting the assistance of a qualified system administrator. If you don't have one you might find one here: System Administration Services | cPanel Forums Thanks! 0
