old website displaying yet loaded new files to public_html

something is wrong because i have deleted old website files from public_html and loaded new ones but when i go to front end i see only the old site still.

  Have you cleared your browser's cache? Can you also confirm that the site is in fact pointed to your server/that directory?

  how and where do i check that the site is pointed to that directry?

  You'd need to know where the document root for the domain is, if there are any redirects you'd find them in the .htaccess, CNAME records can redirect a domain to another location, you can set some CMS software to use a specific directory as the document root but the standard cPanel document root is /home/$user/public_html Thanks!
