Help with fsck

Running CloudLinux 7.5 with cPanel under a HyperV-VM. The VM was previously on a host that failed, and some drive corruption resulted. Over the weekend, WHM stopped loading, displaying file error - master_templates/breadcrumbs.min.js: not found. cPanel support has thrown the ball back in my court to fix the file system issues, and I've found with fsck -n that the corruption is in /dev/mapper/centos-root So far I've been unable to force an fsck on boot with touch /forcefsck. It boots into rescue mode, but the device is in use and fsck aborts. Any advice on how to proceed?

  You'll need to boot it in rescue mode, most providers have an option for this, or you may have to ask your server provider to do this for you.
