Index of when trying to upload site

Hello, I am new to this process. I've uploaded all my files into the public_htm folder. When i go to the internet and type in my sites name. I am getting the Index of? and it is showing all of my files. I have an index.html uploaded. Not sure why it isn't showing my site. If this question has been answered all ready please tag me in that post. Thanks C3
