Any ideas about blocking a 404 page DDOS attack?

We have normal DDOS attack protection and hardened CSF all the options we could find to help but this customer is getting 1000's of 404 error pages loaded constantly. Any ideas? I just added the (D)DoS Mitigator by admin ahead to see if that will help.

  There is an option for blocking on 404s in CSF, LF_APACHE_404, have you set this to permanently block the IP(s)? That said, if this is an actual DDoS attack, that option probably won't help much.

  Thanks, yea I have it set to the most strict option, 60. And it doesn't help. I wish I could set it to 2 for now lol. It's O.k. we are going to add fail2ban and WAF next to see if that helps. Thanks again!
