How to connect to cPanel database?

Hey all, I'm completely new to the whole php/database/mysql. Only begin several days ago because of school project. I'm not doing anything fancy as to creating a full fledged website, just some very basic web page made from html/php files etc... I have connected to a database to create a table on a webpage for a homework but that was with using XAMPP and I was able to easily connect to the database and fetch information from it. But this project require us to use cpanel and I have 0 clue as to how to connect to the database I have created in it. Will someone be able to guide me? Thank you!
