Transfer sites to another server no root access
I have multiple domains and would like to migrate everything (web, email, databases) but most importantly email accounts, email box contents and passwords. I do not have root. I have performed a "complete" backup on Hostgator. It is my understanding from Go Daddy Support Tech that the "complete" backup will not allow me to migrate email. I'm going from Hostgator to Go Daddy. Any suggestions are sincerely appreciated!

I've never used hostgator but if it's a cpa el backup file starting with the word backup and ending in tgz or .tar.gz it should include all the email accounts 0 -
Probably the best you'll be able to accomplish is (Maybe?) configuring the full backup to send via SFTP upon completion to the desired destination on the target server. I wouldn't count on that luck and would plan my day according to a lot of manual back and forth. 0 -
Hello @Charles809, I recommend contacting your new hosting provider to inquire about the best way to transfer your accounts from another server. If that fails, the following document provides information about how to manually copy your data: How to Manually Migrate Accounts to cPanel from Unsupported Control Panels - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation Thank you. 0
