Disable root Password?
Hello, under sudo nano /etc/ssh/sshd_config I have disabled passwordauthentication then I have restarted sshd but when I login to my WHM and the go to change root password I'm still able to set one and then use it for Login via WHM? Is there any nativ option in cPanel to disable root password? I mean it seems to work what I did when I try to Login via Putty it won't let me type in a Password but when I open WHM and type the password it works, any idea how to delete all currently created passwords and how to make cPanel for Serveradministrators corretly passwordless on cPanel?

there is no native way to disable root whm log in but you can use host access control or 2 factor login or both 0 -
Hello @zalocus, You can't disable root access to Web Host Manager, but you can enable additional security features like the ones noted in the previous post: Two-Factor Authentication for WHM - Version 80 Documentation - cPanel Documentation Host Access Control - Version 80 Documentation - cPanel Documentation Thank you. 0
