Hard to say really. I would suggest another restart and see if it does it again. You also might want to look at Service Manager in WHM and make sure it looks like this - Removed - Also are you close to running out of disk space?

Hello @Elizabeta, There's a case included with cPanel & WHM version 80 to address an issue similar to what you have reported: Fixed case CPANEL-26599: Make cPHulkd responsible for restarting the cPHulkd dbprocessor if cphulkd_db.sock is missing. In the meantime, the temporary workaround is to disable cphulkd in the Dormant services section under the Software tab in WHM >> Tweak Settings. Let me know if this helps. Thank you.

Hello Michael, Thank you for your instruction. When I upgrade to version 80 in the future, should I again enable cphulkd in the Dormant services section under the Software tab in WHM >> Tweak Settings? Best regards, Elizabeta

Thanks! you saved me from opening a ticket with my host.. Can someone explain the ramifications of having cphulkd disabled in the dormant services of the Tweaks section?

Hello @Tearabite, Here's a quote from this option's description in WHM >> Tweak Settings: [QUOTE] Use of the dormant service feature will decrease memory use. When a service is idle for 5 minutes, it will unload itself from memory, leaving a tiny "listening" service in place. The reduction in memory consumption is offset by a delay in fulfilling the initial request when dormant since full service must then be activated.
cPanel & WHM version 80 is now published to the RELEASE tier, so you may want to consider upgrading your server to version 80 rather than disabling cphulkd under the Dormant services option in WHM >> Tweak Settings. Thank you.
