Forwarding rejected for spam score does not deliver to inbox.
Here is an interesting bug I think.
Using option "Do not forward mail to external recipients if it matches the Apache SpamAssassin" internal spam_score setting" in Exim settings, I have found that if the message fails the spam_score it is also not received by the forwarding inbox.
To clarify, a@a.com sends to b@b.com that forwards to c@gmail.com - b@b.com finds it to be spam and returns 550 and does not accept to inbox. If there are no forwarders set, b@b.com accepts to inbox (albeit tagging it spam)
- anyhow - eagerly awaiting your thoughts.

You're saying in this instance that b@b.com doesn't accept the mail or forward it if there's a forwarder in place but the same scored email is accepted but flagged as spam if there is no forwarder in place? 0 -
Yes - precisely. 0 -

Do you happen to have the spam headers for any of these that this has occurred with? 0 -
Here is the returned msg headers: This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: sales@domain.com host domain.com [] SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data: 550 "This mail cannot be forwarded because it was detected as spam." Reporting-MTA: dns; serv.example.com Action: failed Final-Recipient: rfc822;sales@domain.com Status: 5.0.0 Remote-MTA: dns; domain.com Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 550 "This mail cannot be forwarded because it was detected as spam." 0 -
It shouldn't hard to test. 0 -
Can you copy the headers and let me delete them? I feel a bit exposed having that data "out there" 0 -
I'm going to remove them, I want the spam headers where spamassassin scored the emails. 0 -
What do you think though - is this a bug? 0 -
It's possible, though I don't have enough information to determine that just yet. 0
