Do email settings vary from installation to installation?

Hi - I'm trying to sort out some issues that come up when copying a cPanel account from another server to mine. I'm wondering, when it comes to email in particular, are the settings typically the same on all installations? What I mean is the port number, the mail server, whether TLS is required etc., so that if I copy an account to a new WHM installation and change the nameservers for the domain, the email address will keep on working?

  The ports are all going to be the same but the TLS requirements may be different between servers.

  Hello @robahas, Are you using the AutoSSL feature? If so, the settings should remain the same (e.g. both servers should reference the individual domain name under the email client settings) as long as a valid SSL certificate is installed on the domain. Thank you.
