public_html turned into a text file

Hello! I was trying to move a subdomain webpage to the main page. Zipped the subfolder files and moved into public_html and then the zip file disappeared and public_html is now a text file in my File Manager (attached). I have never seen this happen before. What to do? Since there isn't a public_html folder I can't just redirect it either or reinstall WP. Regards

  Hello @Madli, As a website owner, you should report this to your web hosting provider so they can restore the contents of your account's home directory or public_html directory from a recent backup archive. Thank you.

  Hello! Thank you for replying. Just as you recommended, I contacted my web hosting provider. He told that he hasn't seen this before. But finally figured out what was the problem and restored it. Thanks
