GPG email encryption cPanel

Hi, So I use email encryption for years now. I normally set this up locally by generating a keypair, and then provide my contacts with my public key. They obviously need it to encrypt emails they sent to me . I can decrypt because I have my private key. Now I see in cPanel the option to import my public key. What possible purpose would this serve ? I get it when importing public keys from friends, but my own public key ? Thanks in advance

  The keys you're referring to, I believe it's under SSL/TLS - those are for managing SSL certs for your websites for example - cPanel offers the possibility to import an existing cert to use.
