Double login on PW directories

Hi, I passworded one of my directores in file manager and when i go to the URL it asks me for the username and pw and then if it passes i go to the dir index page, perfect!! But then when i go to any other page in that dir, it asks me again for that same login info. After that second time i can go anywhere and it never asks me again during that session. I am curious why it asks me twice for the login? Once i am in i should be good to go, but it asks me again, then its fine. Interesting dont you think :)

  Hi @durangod I'm not able to replicate that behavior, I just confirmed when I use Directory Privacy to password protect a directory I'm only asked once for the password and can view any files/folders within the directory structure. Can you give the exact method to replicate as well as any details of the configuration you might have, including screenshots and the .htaccess entries?

  Hi, ill be more than happy to set up an login for you to a folder that goes nowhere just for the purposes of seeing that it does happen. If you want that let me know and ill set it up and PM you the login info. :)

  well i set you up a folder and it works perfectly, its just this one dir that does this. Its not a bad thing so ill let it go. Thanks so much, if it becomes more of an issue into other things, ill let you know. :)

  Hi @durangod That's odd, maybe you might try removing the locked directory settings for it entirely then re-adding it.
