Adding additional hard drives for accounts?
hi friend
I have a server with cPanel, which uses a 1Tb disk
the disc that has been left small, and I want to add a second, third, fourth disc
it is possible to configure cPanel, so that randomly (or established by SysAdmin), host the new hosting accounts, store it in the second disk, and when it reaches 75% of use, the new hosting accounts are stored in the third disc, and when it reaches 75% of use, the new hosting accounts are stored in the fourth disc

Not exactly. But you can mount new disks as /home2 /home3 etc and when cPanel creates a new account it will create it on the disk that has the most available free space. 0 -
I have a question and I would like advice, to obtain a better performance / speed and security of information I'm going to buy a server with 4 disk ssd, of 1Tb each (server for hosting) I was evaluating using it like this: /home -> disk ssd 1 /home2 -> disk ssd 2 /home3 -> disk ssd 3 /home4 -> disk ssd 4 or use a Dell PERC H700S RAID (512MB Cache), to make a raid10 Obviously, with raid10 I would lose 2Tb of space, but it would gain redundancy of information What is your opinion about this configuration? 0 -
Hello @jlucho, I moved this thread over to our Workarounds and Optimization forum category. In terms of RAID configuration advice, you may find the discussion on the following WebHostingTalk thread useful: SSD No RAID vs HDD RAID10 | Web Hosting Talk Thanks! 0
