Uninstall PhpMyAdmin?
Doesn't seem like this question gets asked alot, but is there a way to completely remove CPANEL from WHM?
Is this, from 2011, still valid?
Delete (though i would just chmod it away) /usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/phpMyAdmin
?? Will this come back during an upgrade or will chmodding 000 to the dir upset updates and upgrades?

What problem are you having that makes you want to do this if I may ask? There shouldn't be a reason to do this, and that other old thread should have been replied to and explained this as well. 0 -
I got sooooo sidetracked. I ended up disabling it by chmodding the directory and making it unavailable and disabling it somewhere in settings (feature list). That said, the reason is pretty simple. It is a problematic app, and we would prefer that anyone wanting to do work at the SQL level access 3306 directly across a defined set of nets from our offices. So, we aren't really jobbing out sites to people we don't know, but to a more known audience. They know not to install it on their own (in that case, I would rather use the one with CPanel) and really, rather controlled in that way. We just didn't want it there to get banged on hour after hour after hour and the CVEs are never ending. No PII, but then again, we didn't want issues. 0 -

Thanks for updating the thread, I would imagine this is an issue during cPanel updates.0
