Enable Webp for PHP7.1 using EasyApache 4

I am trying to get this to work on php7.1 I have GD installed and lilwebp and have added --with-vpx-dir=/usr --with-webp-dir=/usr
to the php.ini on multiphp editor I have reprovisioned w EasyApache4. Still no joy. I don't even see those entries showing up in "command" info... Can anyone tell me what am I missing?

  Hello @robhparker, Can you verify which operating system is installed on this server? You can check with the following command: cat /etc/redhat-release

  Hello, we use CloudLinux 6.10 and we need to enable webp support for EA4 php 7.3 version. gd package is installed for php 7.3 and imagick is also installed. kind regards

  I guess EA4's PHP-GD doesn't make use of WebP libs? Not finding a hint of an option for this anywhere.
