readdir() attempted on invalid dirhandle $dh at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Devices.pm line 196.
[2019-06-30 22:26:55 +0200] info [whostmgrd] Successfully verified signature for cpanel (key types: release).
I investigate and investigate, but am not able to get an solution for it.
Something with the mounted device maybe, or it have to do with the port bindings?
I don't know why I have suddenly the port bindings....
Every info into the right direction would be great.

Hello @cetiner Can you please open a ticket, using the link in my signature? I believe this could be related to a case that was marked as being unable to be reproduced and I'd like to see if our analysts can dig into it a bit further. Once open please reply with the Ticket ID here so that we can update this thread with the resolution once the ticket is resolved. Thanks! 0 -
Hello @cPanelLauren Support Request ID is: 12753745 Thanks! 0 -
Hi @cetiner I just checked in on this ticket and it looks like a new internal case was file for it CPANEL-28226 Cpanel::Devices doesn't work on VZ/LXC servers lacking /dev/disk/ This is related to the internal case I was referencing though not quite the same - the fix for the other case will resolve this one as well. I will update this thread when a fix for this issue is in a RELEASE version of cPanel/WHM. Thanks! 0 -
Hi @cPanelLauren Update from my side............ Error message is away after upgrading to WHM/cPanel version 11.82.0.0 Bevore I got readdir() attempted on invalid dirhandle $dh at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Devices.pm line 196. I do not know if the error message is only hidden until the problem is resolved / OR if it has actually been debugged. You will be able to judge it better than me. Hi @cetiner This case is still marked as unresolved at this time, but it looks like there's a related case that is resolved in 82 and it sounds like the issue you were experiencing was definitely symptomatic of the other issue. Thanks for the update! As a result of this I've gone ahead and modified the Case ID to the resolved case CPANEL-27662 and I've marked the issue as solved but if anyone continues to experience this issue in v82 of cPanel/WHM please let us know so we can look into it further.
