cPanel error_log not rotating

Hi, my cPanel error log /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log isn't rotating and is currently at 125M with entries dating back to January this year (7 months). I've also got .gz backups of other logs in the same directory dating back to 2016. I have read all the documentation I can find and searched this forum but not found any answers to why this is happening and how to resolve it (sorry if I have missed docs or answers). What is the best procedure to resolve this issue? Thanks.

  Hi @DigitalEssence What is currently set for the following option in WHM>>Server Configuration>>Tweak Settings: Log rotation size threshold (Minimum: 10) Threshold above which cpanellogd will rotate log files. What logs (if any) are checked to be rotated at WHM>>Service Configuration>>cPanel Log Rotation Configuration

  Ah, my Log rotation size threshold is set to the deault 300MB and I see "The archived log files are left in place indefinitely". Thanks for clearing that up.
