Modsecurity and Source IPv6 address is my own host

We have a new server running an existing installation of WHM (v82.0.6) and IPv6 enabled. Modsecurity is running fine, however it appears that on IPv6 host access, the sever is reporting our Host IPv6 address, this causes our other tools to incorrectly report the source IP and attempt to block it, which fails of course. Is this normal behavior or have I configured something incorrectly?
