MailScanner VS Spamassassin 2019

Hi I've been running MailScanner on my servers for many years now, but I've noticed cPanel have been doing work on the email systems and spamassassin in recent times and wondered how good the new email systems are at blocking spam. Does it use default rule sets etc.. Pete

  I should have mentioned I also use cloudflare for DNS

  Hi @patchwork I know that MailScanner is a really widely used tool and while I can't necessarily compare I can say that when configured properly SpamAssassin can be a very powerful tool used to combat spam. We have in the last few years implemented some further default rulesets for SA as well and you can see them in the exim configuration manager but more information on them can be found here: Spam Assassin is highly configurable and customizable and you can learn more about the customizations and how to implement them here: SpamAssassin: Documentation we're also here to help with what we can!
