Are we stuck with Horde?
I was wondering if Horde was the only option for email/DAV backend in the cPanel package?
Frankly, Horde is a half-baked piece of ancient buggy abandonware. There are bugs that prevent Android users from properly syncing calendar events and tasks:
Not only that, but there is currently NO way to sync Notes.
From what I can tell, Horde development is essentially frozen, or at best glacial. I don't expect it to work properly in my lifetime.
So are we stuck with it, or are there better options?

They want me to pay 10x more for a private server to get this. So nice that you only support Apple users. Screw all the millions of Android users. How about using software that has active development so that they can adhere to established RFC standards? 0 -

If your hosting provider doesn't wanna offer it, then there's not much to do.So nice that you only support Apple users. Screw all the millions of Android users. How about using software that has active development so that they can adhere to established RFC standards?
The plugin supports CalDAV and CardDAV, which are RFC standards, and hopefully something Android supports so they adhere to established RFC standards :)0 -
That's great. But it would be nice if the DAV libraries included in basic cPanel (Horde) adhered as well. :) 0
