    /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup/

www.DeepL.com/Translator ======================================================================= Hello, Are you aware of why backups are causing the server to crash? Is anything of note logged to the backup logs or cPanel error log? You can find them here: /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log
    /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup/
As far as adding an additional drive to mount for backups, this would be fine but NFS is not supported. While you can utilize NFS I would not suggest it as the behavior may be unpredictable. This is noted in our documentation here:

He abierto un ticket y me comentan esto: To backup your server the accounts are copied into a staging location and then they are compressed for transport to your two remote FTP locations. This process uses a lot of IO and can use a fair amount of CPU on the server. Generally, we recommend a second disk for backups and backup staging to avoid using all of the IO on the primary disk during the backup process. Your servers iowait is becoming very high around 2:10 am and onward. This is consistent with the backup process using up the disk input and output and causing the server to slow down. Currently, I/O priority level at which cPanel-generated backups are run, in tweak settings is set to 7. While this default can work well on servers with fast disks it can cause issues if your disk is having problems with iowait. I recommend reducing this value to 3.
