Assign an IP Address to SubDomain?

    You don't need to copy the data to another server, just create the subdomain as a cPanel account. Backup the content of your subdomain first just in case, then delete the subdomain from cPanel, then create the new cPanel account using the subdomain as the account's "domain" and upload/copy the data to the new account.

    I am not following... First create a subdomain (ok) Then Backup (ok) Then delete the subdomain from cPanel ?? Then create new cPanel account using the subdomain ?? (but it is deleted in the previous step..)

    You got it wrong. 1) Backup subdomain content. 2) Delete the subdomain (from cPanel). 3) Create the subdomain as an independent cPanel account. 4) Restore subdomain content.

    Create the subdomain as a new cpanel account in whm, then restore the data.

    You would indeed need to create the subdomain as its own account. It is possible to assign a dedicated IP address to a subdomain within an account but the method is not supported. There is some information on this here:
