Archive Account Before Deletion

I want to create a backup of an account before I delete it. I just Jetbackup and know I could do that but there is no guarantee I will be using it (or it will be supported) in the long-term. I'm just using the built-in WHM Backup for backing up system files. Is all I need to do is change the setting to backup user accounts, select the account, wait for it to complete then go copy the backup file to offsite/cloud storage?

  That is one method you could use, you could also manually create the backup for the account by going to cPanel>>Files>>Backup Wizard and download the backup locally once it's complete.
