What are these large files in /var/lib/mysql?

Hi All, We have been using virtfs for jail access, and we notice very weird MYSQL behavior. I list all databases of mysql with sizes. it shows databases are very normal in size or as expected but there are some folders like /home/virtfs/(homefolder)/ var/lib/mysql/binary-update.000000001 and there are many huge files with same name but different number at the end. File size very from 4.0k to 500MB or even 1 GB. i am not sure what this data is. i do not see any foot print of this huge data in Mysql database list. so what this files are and how can i get rid of these files? Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks, Yousuf
