mass dns records change when using dns cluster
Hi, i want to change all my spf records in my servers and i'm using dns cluster.
I can do a mass replace in /var/named/*.db files in all my hosting servers, but how can i "push" the changes to the dns servers via the cluster?
Dns service is not running in hosting servers and as far i know hosting servers "push" the changes with an internal cpanel api.
Can this be done manually?
best regards,

Hi, cPanel servers are connected to the cluster via API, so if you edited once DNS record on cPanel server, it will be pushed to the DNS servers. Did you try to make this change? 0 -
I didnt try yet, want to ask in order to be sure first. Are you sure that if i replace with sed the /var/named/*.db files, are going to be "pushed" in the dns servers? I believe that this is happening if i edit the zones via whm. best regards, 0 -
I'd suggest using the SPF Installer script to do this: The spf_installer Script - Version 82 Documentation - cPanel Documentation to make the changes once the changes are complete if you want to be sure the zones synchronize (which they will do automatically) you can go to WHM>>DNS Function>>Synchronize DNS Records to force the sync 0 -
Thank you for your help, i'll try that. best regards, 0
