There is no Horde Admin area that I'm aware of in cPanel. What is it you're looking to modify?

Not in cpanel, but in the Horde yes there is. It's where Horde's advanced options are set. I've used it in various Horde instalations, but never in a server with cpanel and shared hosting

This thread is what I am trying to achieve. However, it's very old (2005):

We're talking about the cPanel installed version of Horde though, not a stand-alone installation of Horde. ;) What advanced options are you looking to modify exactly?

Yes, that it true and I undestand that completely. What I am trying to figure out is: - the differences between the Horde administration (configuration, customization, etc), in a standalone installation (typically, only one Horde installation on a LAMP server or VPS) - and the Horde administration (configuration, customization, etc) in a server managed with WHM and cPanel I guess one image is worth a thousand words, so please see these ones with the administration menu options: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6b/Horde-portal.png docs.bitnami.com/images/img/apps/horde/horde-configure-authentication-1.png blogs.securiteam.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Horde-ACE-1.jpg And these, without the the administration menu options: inmotionhosting.com/support/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/email_imap-folders_delete-horde-folder.png ecenica.com/wp-content/uploads/horde-webmail-preferences-mail.png

Thanks. Some of those screenshots appear older. That full-blown admin area shot appears to be on a stand-alone server setup. I guess (bitnami.com/stack/horde). The very first shot is of the portal page which you do have access to of course and can add/ remove content from. AFAIK, the Horde admin area seen in that screenshot was never exposed in cPanel & WHM. I doubt this old blog post is of any use to you, but adding it here anyway:

Thank you! This phrase of yours rang me a bell and made me want investigate further. And I found out where is the Administration link in cPanel's Horde (see the difference between image 1 and 2 below). So, in a virtual machine, I set up a Koozali Server (formely SME Server), that uses Hordegroupware 3 (but can be upgraded to Horde 5 which is the one that cPanel uses), and to which I was familiar until a few years ago when I used it to as a small company local server. And then I started to compare which "features, configurations, etc" would there be present in this virtual machine Horde installation, that I wouldn't find in cPanel's one and vice-versa. And what I found out is that the Horde "features, configurations, etc" that exist by default in cPanel work for me and are the ones that I need, and I can't think of one that I need and is not there, although they are less than the ones present in Koozali server. This happens because the other Horde settings that exist in the Koozali server are configured in the server managed by cPanel and WHM in other cPanel options and menus. And this is good because it means I can use Horde like just like I wanted in a cPanel/WHM managed server. I attach some screenshots where you can see: - a normal user menu (without access to Horde administration) and the cPanel default user (that has access to Horde administration). - some useful cPanel Webmail menu, that allows to set autoresponders, email filters, change password, change Horde to RoundCube, etc. - the options and settings in Koozali server Horde, just for the curious ones (it seems outdated because I haven't update from Horde 3 to 5).

Could you please first edit that post and exchange the linked-to images to be attachments? I dislike the idea of removing all of your images from the post if I don't have to, but we prefer to have all images served from this forum, not from a 3rd party website.

Yes, I've just done it. I put links to the images because some forums don't allow attachments. I'm glad this one does because it's easier this way.
