2 questions regarding SSL certificates and AutoSSL providers

    1. I have a site that would like to use a wildcard sub domain it is a wordpress site and whenever you go to ff.domain.com for example you get an SSL error, the research I did says that a wildcard certificate would need to be installed but I believe what I read it will break subdomains like cpanel.domain.com. What is the proper procedure for doing an ssl cert for a wildcard subdomain, I believe lets encrypt is the best source?

    cPanel's AutoSSL service starts supporting Wildcard certificates using the Let's Encrypt Provider as of v84 of cPanel/WHM.     Thank you for the update is there a documented procedure for setting up the wildcard cert and will it impact cpanel, etc... subdomains?

    Hello, There is not but the certificate will only be issued in the presence of a wildcard subdomain so *.domain.tld must exist. This *is* discussed in the let's encrypt documentation here: Let's Encrypt for cPanel
