The hostname and rev.cloud.XXX

Can be used as a valid hostname also CHN1.cloud.EXAMPLE.COM or we should use only one cloud.EXAMPLE.COM or there are PROS or CONS for both options as it can be abused due to many extensions like example.cloud.

  Four part host names are perfectly valid, just make sure it resolves.

  Can be abused if we use also cloud.example.com as they can register also in example: domain XXX.cloud? In other words, is it good practice to use CLOUD inside the host name? Can be added A record and use WWW beside the hostname record or it is not good?

  I wouldn't use a www. in the hostname but you can use cloud in the hostname, the naming convention itself does not make it susceptible to abuse.

  Which settings defines www in this case as we have an issue it redirects all the time cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi and you would not use.
