How to configure Microsoft Exchange in cPanel

Hello, I want to use Microsoft Exchange Mail service to a subdomain instead of cpanel exim mail server. I configured all dns and mx entries, but when try to send email from subdomain that pointed to Microsoft Exchange to rootdomain.com rejected and receive the following error:

our message to user@rootdomain.com couldn't be delivered.

A security check at rootdomain.com failed due to misconfigured settings at subdomain.rootdomain.com.

subdomain.rootdomain.com Office 365 rootdomain.com Action Required Recipient Misconfigured PTR record

How to Fix It The recipient's email server at rootdomain.com performed a security check against your message and the check failed. To fix this, forward this non-delivery report (NDR) to your email admin.

Was this helpful? Change how DNS records are managed with Office 365. Unfortunately, Office 365 Support can't help you fix these kinds of externally reported errors because Office 365 doesn't support PTR record management.

  This just indicates that the PTR is not configured correctly, if you've not configured this, in most cases the hosting provider will need to add the record for you which should resolve to the hostname of the server.

  Hello, But if your provider doesn't delegate access for you to add this record, adding it is going to make absolutely no difference.
