Wildcards no longer working in BIND

I've been using wildcards in BIND DNS zones for about 10 years, suddenly late last week, they seemed to stop working. If I add in exact domain names into the zone, everything starts working correctly. I don't believe any other configuration change took place in any of our systems. Has there been a BIND change or cPanel change recently that could have caused this?

  Nothing that comes to mind right off the bat, though there have been some changes to the way addon and parked domains are treated, I'm not sure they would have an impact on what you're seeing. Is there a specific error being output?

  No I haven't seen any errors. I restarted BIND and it seems to be fixed. Just a glitch in the matrix I guess.
