But I don't understand why the option "Domains" also appears, because from my perspective it seems to me that when adding a domain we should use Addon Domains.

Exactly, in a cPanel account there is one Main Domain, if you want to add another domain it has to be either Addon Domain or Alias.

The way the configuration in cPanel works - Addon domains or any domain that is added to cPanel after the primary is considered an addon domain, sub domain or alias. The verbiage used in the domains interface is there because you could add any of the three, not just an addon domain.

A Subdomain is something that is part of or directly related to your main domain and an Addon Domain is just a regular domain that is added on to your hosting account after the original domain you used to set up your account. These images seem to contradict those explanations (meaning that Domains also has a role here): alt="20191105-140424.jpg">61909 alt="20191105-140439.jpg">61913 alt="20191105-140450.jpg">61917 alt="20191105-140518.jpg">61921 alt="20191105-140522.jpg">61925

I'm not sure I'm following how it's contradictory, could you explain what you mean? Domains is just an interface where you can view and manage all domain types on your account, addons, subdomains and alias domains, it's there so you don't have to go to separate interfaces to manage them all.

Good explanation! Now I got it! I wrongly thought that Domains had some kind of functionality that I was missing and couldn't be found in addons, subdomains or alias domains. Thank you!

You can add domains from cPanel>>Domains>>Domains or you can do this using the Addon Domains interface in cPanel>>Domains>>Addon Domains

Hi, Adding Domain is your main domain associated with the service and addon domain is added additionally to that service. These domain can be added via:
    • cPanel > Domains > Domains
    • cpanel > Domains > Addon Domains
