Hello, If you've not disabled mod_userdir protection on the server, accessing links like this will not function. You need to go to WHM>>Security Center >> Apache mod_userdir Tweak you can manage it from there. 0 -
I found below... well how to do this: To use mod_userdir, you must disable mod_ruid2, mod_itk, and mod_passenger and recompile EasyApache. ???? Apache mod_userdir Tweak mod_userdir is disabled Web server processes on this system currently run as the user. For security reasons, the system disabled mod_userdir. Any changes that you make in this interface will not take effect until you enable mod_userdir. To use mod_userdir, you must disable mod_ruid2, mod_itk, and mod_passenger and recompile EasyApache. Apache httpd"s mod_userdir makes URLs like " resolve to the indicated user"s (for example, the user "fred""s) primary web virtual host. In the above scenario, the transferred data counts against the bandwidth limit for the user that owns "example.com", not against "fred""s bandwidth limit. This is often an undesirable behavior. WHM"s mod_userdir Protection feature addresses this problem by restricting mod_userdir to URLs whose users own the URL"s domains. 0 -
You can manage these through EasyApache 4 by going to WHM>>Software>>EasyApache 4. You'd need to remove mod_ruid2 and mod_passenger if you're not using them, and install mod_userdir 0 -
mod_ruid2, mod_itk, and mod_passenger These three for what purpose are, what assist for? 0 -
mod_ruid2 information can be found here: Apache Module: ModRuid2 - EasyApache - cPanel Documentation (disregard any instructions on how to install/uninstall for easyapache 3) mod_itk is discussed here: Apache Module: MPM ITK - EasyApache 4 - cPanel Documentation mod_passenger information is here: Application Manager - Version 84 Documentation - cPanel Documentation 0 -
Apache mod_userdir Tweak mod_userdir is disabled >>> make enabled this, required for webserver to serve eg 7 domains / sites...? or web server can work even this is disabled, and this is only for urls domain/~fred...? 0 -
The webserver will function without issue without mod_userdir it's only utilized for using urls like domain.tld/~user 0 -
how to understand a site works... --- migrate from old server to new --- changing only dns IP... I haven't had to make working domain/~fred...? what other solution exist? 0 -
What if, the same server serves 10 domains/sites??? 0 -
You'd need to enter each domain with the corresponding IP into the hosts file. How many servers isn't relevant, all this does is essentially tell your local machine where to look for that site. 0 -
jennysprivate.institute I want to change server --- this was in the old server now wanted to be pointed to the new SSD server, how? CPanel both old CentOS 6 new Cent OS 7 I set the new server but still points to ping old server --- even changed in my provider domain IP DNS... well ? -11-07_15-18-53 (2).png">61965 0 -
You'll need to wait for propagation to complete as well as clear any local caching. I get the 160.153 IP address when I ping the domain and the nameservers. 0 -
Needed change and Host names and worked OK 0
