Edit DNS in WHM loading extremely slowly (2-3 minutes)
New server. Copied 119 sites over, they're loading nice and quick. WHM loads nice and quick - except the Edit DNS page takes 2-3 minutes to load. Loading the zone to edit takes the same, and saving the changes I made to the zone also did, although it was successful, thankfully.
As far as I can tell, this is the only thing that is running slowly.
500GB of space free on the server; load is <1.
edit: cPanel ? Zone Editor - I can add a record quickly (it feels instantly). Definitely not 2-3 minute load times per page.
Any ideas?

Is the page load slow or the content shows up slowly? 0 -
When I click something to load the page, the browser spins for 2-3 minutes, then the page appears. I don't know if the page content appears quickly after the 2-3 minutes, but I have not caught it loading, so it must be pretty quick once it starts to load. 0 -
Hello @Ishware When you go to edit DNS and load the zone file is anything output to the cPanel error logs at /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log
or in the system messages at/var/log/messages

So I went to test it this morning and see what that log might produce " and Edit DNS is working quickly. I suspect I might know the cause, though. Overnight UPCP showed an error in resolvers. And I learned something I hadn't manage to learn in nearly 20 years of running cPanel - because this server came with 127.0.0.1 as the resolver, which I don't believe has happened to me before. I *added* a valid resolver, but I assumed 127.0.0.1 was also properly there. Until UPCP. So I removed that - then came back to this thread and.... Edit DNS page loads as close to instantly as is humanly (er... machinely?) possible. :) I can't say for sure it's related, but it seems likely. :) 0 -
We don't typically change your resolvers - network manager does though. Either way, I'm really glad that it's functioning normally now. 0 -
Oh yeah, sorry, wasn't blaming cPanel, was blaming the datacenter's OS template. :) 0
