We are having this issue also with version 11.84.0.10. All files except files like, error_log show as empty when attempting to edit them via the FileManager Sometimes showing the error: "Unsupported conversion from us-ascii to detect : Invalid argument at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/API/Fileman.pm line 775." 0 -

I'd suggest reading the thread I linked, this is a known issue that has been fixed and you need to update your cPanel/WHM to resolve this.0 -
@cPanelLauren We have the issue with 84.0.18 right now.............. [QUOTE] Unsupported conversion from us-ascii to detect: Invalid argument at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/API/Fileman.pm line 775. 0 -
@cetiner ahh that's actually a different issue. This occurs when the character encoding check has been disabled in the cPanel File Manager. You can check this by going to cPanel>>Files>>File Manager -> Settings (upper right-hand corner) This looks to be the issue with the OP as well, I apologize for not realizing this was the case initially - can you toggle this and let me know if the issue persists? 0 -
Hello @cPanelLauren thanks for the reply; the issue is away now. 0 -
Hi @cetiner Great!! Thanks for letting me know, I'm glad to hear that resolved the issue. 0
