Disable redirection to ip/~user
?I just finished migrating a webiste to a new server (both use whm/cpanel), but now when I try to access the domain name or the IP address it keeps redirecting me to IP_ADDRESS/~user. I Disabled the UseDir in the httpd.conf file bit nothing. Any idea ? Thanks

If you use WHM you can disable redirect from the "Tweak Settings" area, select the tab named "Redirection" 0 -
It sounds a bit like you have a caching issue, I'd suggest clearing your browser's cache or using a different browser. Also, ensure that by disabling mod_userdir you didn't disable mod_userdir protection which actually enables the ability to use mod_userdir. 0 -
Hi, Sorry for the late reply. Indeed I tried to disable the mod_usedir and redirection, I used a different browser with private browsing but nothing changed, I still got redirected to IP~/user. 0 -
Hello, 1. Have you pointed the DNS of the site to the new server? 2. Can you include a screenshot of the settings you've chosen for the mod_userdir tweak? 0 -
Hey, Thanks for your reply Lauren. Yes, I pointed the dns to the new server (I'm not using the primary domain name yet, until I figured this error, so we can consider this server as preprod one). The domain name i'm using for the tests is domain.ga (domain.ma point to the old server dns). Thanks again. 0 -
What are you typing in? When I type in: /~livremoi/
I get a page and not an error0 -
I think I din't explain my self well (Sorry English is my third language). When I type the IPAddress or domain_name (lmnewprod dot ga) I get a redirection to IPAddress/~livremoi, that's the behaviour I want to get rid of. 0 -
Hello, I see, I misunderstood what you were trying to do. You need to disable the exclusion on those sites. Uncheck the two boxes I've highlighted on the screenshot you provided and click save at the bottom. 0 -
Already tried that, nothing changed. 0 -
This sounds a lot like a caching issue as this should not function if it is not excluded from protection. Can you please open a ticket using the link in my signature? Once open please reply with the Ticket ID here so that we can update this thread with the resolution once the ticket is resolved. Thanks! 0
