Virtualization with cPanel installed on host server
Hi all,
Our host dedicated server is running on CentOS 7 with cPanel 76.0.22 (Metal).
We are trying to run an instance of Windows on that server. Because of some internal constraints, we have no other option but to use this server to run it, and we are trying to avoid a full server re-install.
We tried to install KVM but we get an error, as it requires NetworkManager to be enabled and obviously cPanel doesn't like it at all.
What solutions do we have if we want to run an instance of Windows while keeping the server as is with cPanel installed on the host?
Maybe not KVM but another virtualization software?
All suggestions are welcome.
Thank you
Mike

I do not believe there is ANY option available to you for this. They hypervisor would normally be installed first then you visualize the cpanel and the windows servers. Never come across one that would work after cPanel is installed. Maybe someone else has a suggestion, looking forward to hearing. 0 -
cPanel is not intended to be run the way you're suggesting, @GOT has it correct as far as I'm aware. If you wanted further information though, I'd check with the support of the hypervisor you choose to identify compatibility issues. 0
