Best option to change a CentOS 8?
Hi. First of all, my apologies if this post does not go in this forum, even if it is not correct to insert it in cpanel forums.
Some time ago I saw that CentOS 8 is available, I am currently working with CentOS 7.7 and I was thinking of upgrading to CentOS 8.
I have searched for information and I have seen two possibilities:
1.-Perform a CentOS upgrade (I don't know what current settings in my cPanel I can lose, and that's what scares me).
2.-Make a full backup of my server (mails, databases ... full backup), from my own server I can perform a clean installation of CentOS 8, after that, restore the backup. This implies that certain configurations that I have made have to be done again (surely, like cron jobs that I have added) and I don't know if this option would be 100% compatible.
For these doubts I have ventured to post here.
Thanks in advance and greetings.

At least short term, it's moot, as cPanel does not support CentOS V8. 0 -
2 issues 1. there is no inbox upgrade to centos 8 (at least none officially supported) Redhat 8 does 2. cpanel does not support centos 8 yet 0 -
Hi. Then, not upgrade. Great oversight on my part. I I did not know that cpanel is not compatible with centos 8. In this case, I don't need view more, I work with cPanel (in centos) but not with centos, my work is with cpanel. Thanks!! 0 -
