MySQL to mariaDB

Hi, my server is currently still using MySQL and Im thinking to move for mariaDB because I have read lots of good thing about mariadb compare to mysql. But my question is once I have upgraded my server for mariadb and let say my customer move to another hosting provider with mysql, is that gonna be a problem with them? Any advice will be appreciate it. Cheers...
