The target principal name is wrong Outlook

when I try to connect my Email, which I created in my Cpanel, to outlook via my SSL connection I get in outlook the message The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that cannot be verified. The target principal name is wrong So I know many people have posted regarding this issue on different platforms, but I really do not understand how to solve it. So far I tried to figure out what the problem is. I went first to view the certificate and could identify that the name on it (issued to: is different to my domainname.com) So I contacted my provider (GoDaddy) and they told me everything should work just fine. So they claim it is not an issue with their SSL. Secondly, I read different posts regarding this issue but all of them did not cover my problem, because most of them used just a wrong server address while establishing an Outlook sever the connection. Okay so I tried 5 different Emails and I did not come to any solution. So I had a second talk with Godaddy and again they say that is my problem, what I can understand. The only offered solution was to buy an Email Hosting or just use an SSL free connection between my Cpanel and Outlook. And this brought me here ^^ Some additional info: I have one GoDaddy signed SSL cert. which is linked to www.mydomain.com and one -self-signed- SSL Cert. which is linked to mydomain.com Cpanel says if I want to connect my mail address with outlook etc. I need to connect to mydomain.com incoming port 993 outgoing port 465 This is what I did, do I get this problem because the SSL is self-signed?
