Why did my thread get deleted?

My exim upgrade has resulted in exim not working any longer due to permission issues in /var/spool/exim. I wrote a very clear thread explaining the problem and it was deleted. Why? Failed to create directory "/var/spool/exim/db": Permission denied Failed to create spool file /var/spool/exim//input//1ilDi2-0002mL-HU-D: Permission denied spool file open error while delivering: Permission denied So, what changed between the exim that I have been using for 3 or 4 years and the new version? Running as user/group exim.exim where it was mailnull.mail ? How do I change this so that things will work?
