Details of how WordPress staging works?

We recently used the cPanel WordPress Staging tool to solve a problem. Now, management would like me to use Staging across several important sites. But I have not found documentation with details about this tool. For example, if I make a change in the Staging version of a site, and click the "push to live" button, does it only upload files that have been modified? Or does the entire site upload?

  This would not be the best place to ask this question, this isn't something provided by or supported by cPanel it's specific to WordPress. You'll find a bunch of info on what staging sites are/What wordpress staging is with a quick google search for "wordpress staging"

  When I saw the Staging icon within cPanel, I thought it was in some way authorized by cPanel. I will move the question elsewhere. Thx.

  It sounds like you have a 3rd party addon for it :)
