Subdomain not accessible after re-creation

I accidentally deleted a subdomain (not its directory with files). Then after I re-created it, my browser is not able to open it anymore. Still when I create subdomain with a slightly different name, i.e. subdomain1.mysite.com - it works, but the original subdomain.mysite.com isn't working anymore. Does anyone have an idea of what went wrong and how can I fix this?

  Probably a dns cache issue. Your system has the non-working dns cached.

  This problem resolved on its own the next day. So yes, it probably was some DNS cache issue.
