Index.html file not loading says "Character not from source char set "

I just added some words on the Alt"" and now the index.html page is not loading . I have added a picture of what it is saying . Please help me out guys . What should i do ? How did this happen ?

  This is due to the encoding of the file, which is the output of the command "file your_file.php" you must run it from cli

  hey Carlos thanks for the reply . As i said i only added some words for the Alt text . Can you explain to me in detail how did this happen and how do i solve this ?Will this affect my website ?
